Wintec Apartments
For those seeking more independence and still want to be apart of a student community.
Securing your accommodation:
A step by step guide
If you are currently living outside of New Zealand and are applying as an international students to live in Hatch Student Village, Wintec Apartments, or a Homestay, you must follow this process.
Please note:
Students under 18 years old must live in Wintec-approved accommodation, either in Wintec Student Village, Homestay Accommodation, or with an approved caregiver.
Complete ONE of the application forms below.
You will need to create a new account, log in via the accommodation portal, start and complete ALL required questions and submit your application.

Application Fees Apply
Please note a $350 application fee for new applicants applies to applications.
This fee is non-refundable.
Confirmation and Acceptance
Once you have completed all required information and submitted your application, our team will review your application and contact you via email with the outcome and next steps.

Wintec Student Village is the perfect choice for students leaving home for the first time. With fully catered meals and a vibrant, supportive environment, it’s a place where you can focus on your studies, make new friends, and transition smoothly into independent living.

The Wintec Apartments offer a unique flatting-style experience that blends independence with the support of a student community. Enjoy shared spaces, connect with like-minded peers, and thrive in an environment that encourages both personal growth and social connection.

International Students can stay in fully-catered accommodation at Student Village, or in self-catered accommodation at Wintec Apartments. International students can also apply for a Homestay.
Each Hatch Student Living accommodation option has different amenities available. Each resident has their own secured bedroom with a bed, desk, wardrobe, desk and chair, and a shared living space, kitchen, bathrooms, with internet, power and gas included in your accommodation fee.
Yes. Internet (Wifi) is included in your accommodation fee.
