We know that everyone’s needs are different. Our accommodation services recognise this. That’s why we offer two different styles of accommodation for our students.
Wintec Student Village
Enjoy the benefits of living amongst other students on the campus in a modern, safe, and secure environment.

For those seeking more independence and still want to be apart of a student community.
Securing your accommodation:
A step by step guide
If you are currently living outside of New Zealand and are applying as an international students to live in Hatch Student Village, Wintec Apartments, or a Homestay, you must follow this process.
Please note:
Students under 18 years old must live in Wintec-approved accommodation, either in Wintec Student Village, Homestay Accommodation, or with an approved caregiver.
You will need to create a new account, log in via the accommodation portal, start and complete ALL required questions and submit your application.
Application fees apply
Please note a $350 application fee applies for new International applicants. This fee is non-refundable.
Confirmation and acceptance
Once you have completed all required information and submitted your application, our team will review your application and contact you via email with the outcome and next steps.

First time out of home
Wintec Student Village is the perfect choice for students leaving home for the first time. With fully catered meals and a vibrant, supportive environment, it’s a place where you can focus on your studies, make new friends, and transition smoothly into independent living.
Flatting experience with community
The Wintec Apartments offer a unique flatting-style experience that blends independence with the support of a student community. Enjoy shared spaces, connect with like-minded peers, and thrive in an environment that encourages both personal growth and social connection.

International Students can stay in fully-catered accommodation at Student Village, or in self-catered accommodation at Wintec Apartments. International students can also apply for a Homestay.
If you require an airport pickup to be arranged, please complete the Airport Shuttle form below and email to the international accommodation address below two weeks before you arrive in New Zealand.
Please note: A one-off Airport Shuttle fee of $170 applies for this service.
If your travel plans change, notify our accommodation team immediately.

All students aged under 18 must be collected by a Wintec assigned shuttle service and taken to their Wintec approved accommodation (unless other arrangements have been approved by Wintec).

Each Hatch Student Living accommodation option has different amenities available. Each resident has their own secured bedroom with a bed, desk, wardrobe, desk and chair, and a shared living space, kitchen, bathrooms, with internet, power and gas included in your accommodation fee.
